Today’s health tip is about hand washing.

Wash your hands frequently and correctly to prevent infections and the spread of germs.

Hand washing is an important way to stay healthy. It helps to prevent infections and the spread of germs.

And when people fall ill less often, the use of antibiotics will reduce which will minimize the spread of antibiotic resistance.

These are simple steps to proper hand washing:

  1. Wet hands with clean water and apply enough soap to cover all surfaces of the hands.
  2. Rub hands palm to palm.
  3. Rub the right palm at the back of the left hand with interlaced fingers and vice versa.
  4. Rub again palm to palm with fingers interlaced.
  5. Wash the fingertips.
  6. Wash the thumbs

So, ensure you wash your hands regularly such as after using the toilet, before eating, and after returning from outdoor activities.  Teach kids to do same too.
